'Outdoor LCD Display'
Note: Due to an NDA, the product will be referred to as an ‘Outdoor LCD Display.’ Information throughout this portion of the portfolio will be generalized and/or omitted in order to keep the company’s intellectual property protected.

Background:
Designed, fabricated and assembled several sub-assemblies for an outdoor LCD display; the sub-assemblies will be referred to as the ‘Camera Mount’ and ‘Number Plate Display.’

Camera Mount
Designed a 3D printed housing to accompany a Camera/PC board and an Ambient Light Sensor (ALS). Below is an exploded view of the assembly.

PC Board Pegs: Designed pegs to locate and place the PC board within the housing; M2 screws are used to secure the PC board in place.

Heat Sink Suppression (behind PC Board): Designed a cut-extrude that accompanies the heat sink for the PC board. The heat sink suppresses into a rubber stop on the PC board, and this feature only allows for 20% suppression on the rubber stop.

Camera Stabilizer: Designed a stabilizer that enhances the security of the PC board and reduces the vibration of the camera. There is a 0.01” clearance all around for a tight fit around the edges of the camera.

Strain Relief: Designed to properly mate with the strain relief attached to the PC board to reduce stress on the wire; an e-clip is added on to ensure its rigidity.
Number Plate
Designed a 3D printed housing for an LED sheet to numerical identify the ‘Outdoor LCD Display.’ ‘DDDD’ is simply a place holder for the numbers used to identify the unit. Below is an exploded view of the assembly.
